The second edition of BEYOND transformed The Turkish Bath into a space dedicated to dialogue about light and architecture – about how the two coexist, define, and complete one another.

This year’s edition featured Zumtobel Lighting as the main partner, inviting the public to rediscover light as a vital element that shapes space. The exhibition, open throughout the day, offered visitors the opportunity to experience different perspectives on light – both through the lens of technology and artistic expression.

In the evening, the conference held by Julia Behringer from the Atelier of Light – the interdisciplinary team within the Zumtobel Lighting – highlighted projects in which light transcends its functional role and becomes a medium of architectural expression. Through concrete examples, Julia illustrated how technical precision can evoke emotion, and how light can tell stories – subtle yet profound – about the relationship between space, matter, and perception.

The event enjoyed a strong attendance and an atmosphere animated by curiosity, dialogue, and genuine exchange of ideas – within a setting where light not only reveals space but reinterprets it. We extend our gratitude to Zumtobel Lighting, artist Iulian COPACEL, and all those who were part of this edition – a step further in exploring what lies beyond the surface, in the true spirit of BEYOND.
